2009 Ford Flex Interior Lighting Upgrade

    I like a lot of light, and I also like a good project, so the unlit footwells of the Flex were one of the first things to be fixed. The $40k Limited edition of the Flex comes with a 7 color led lighting package which more than adequately lights up the interior of the Flex, however a poor man also needs a little light so here was my solution to the light starved Flex.

    I started by studying the wiring diagram of the Flex to find the color and location of the interior lighting wire. Once I had confirmed that I had the correct wire I mounted a small fuse block behind the passenger side footwell. I then added a small LED light to both the driver and passenger side footwells. The LED lights were only available from Napa in a 6 pack and they cost $11 each so the total on this project was about $80, but I have 4 lights left over for future use.
